  1. Manage and maintain Linux systems and servers for Ericsson, ensuring high availability and performance.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with Linux systems in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain Linux-based solutions.
  5. Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from potential threats.
  6. Create and maintain documentation for Linux systems, processes, and procedures.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and updates in the Linux world and make recommendations for their implementation.
  8. Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Linux-based applications.
  9. Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
  10. Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability of Linux systems.
  11. Proactively identify and address potential issues or risks within the Linux environment.
  12. Continuously improve and automate processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
  13. Work with vendors and external partners to ensure smooth integration and operation of Linux systems.
  14. Participate in project planning and execution, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  15. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, status reports, and recommendations.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge Of Linux Operating Systems: A Linux Administrator At Ericsson Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Linux Distributions, Including Red Hat, Centos, And Ubuntu. They Should Be Able To Troubleshoot System Issues, Perform Software Installations, And Maintain System Security.

  • Experience With Virtualization Technologies: Ericsson Utilizes Virtualization Extensively In Their Network Infrastructure, So A Linux Administrator Must Be Familiar With Virtualization Technologies Such As Kvm, Vmware, And Docker. They Should Be Able To Deploy And Manage Virtual Machines And Containers Efficiently.

  • Networking Skills: A Linux Administrator Should Have A Good Understanding Of Networking Concepts, Including Tcp/Ip, Routing, And Switching. They Should Be Able To Configure Network Interfaces, Troubleshoot Network Issues, And Implement Network Security Policies.

  • Scripting And Automation Skills: Ericsson Values Automation And Efficiency, So A Linux Administrator Must Be Proficient In Scripting Languages Such As Bash, Python, Or Perl. They Should Be Able To Write Scripts To Automate Routine Tasks And Improve System Performance.
