Job Description

Ericsson is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team in Toronto. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities, performing installations and upgrades, and providing support to our network infrastructure.   1. Manage and maintain data centers to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  2. Perform installations and upgrades of equipment and systems within the data center.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that may arise within the data center.
  4. Monitor and track data center metrics and report on any abnormalities or trends.
  5. Work closely with network infrastructure teams to provide support and ensure seamless integration.
  6. Follow established procedures and protocols for data center operations and maintenance.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data center equipment, configurations, and procedures.
  8. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data center technology.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and processes within the data center.
  10. Ensure compliance with security and safety protocols within the data center.
  11. Respond to data center emergencies and perform necessary troubleshooting and repairs.
  12. Train and mentor junior data center technicians as needed.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  14. Continuously improve data center operations through process optimization and automation.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Technical Skills: A Data Center Technician At Ericsson Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Data Center Infrastructure, Networking, And Server Hardware. They Should Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues Quickly And Efficiently.

  • Experience With Data Center Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Data Center Environment. This Includes Experience With Rack And Stack, Cabling, And Server Maintenance.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards: A Data Center Technician Should Be Familiar With Industry Standards Such As Iso 27001, Pci Dss, And Itil. They Should Also Have A Good Understanding Of Data Center Best Practices.

  • Attention To Detail: Data Centers Require A High Level Of Precision And Organization. A Data Center Technician Should Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Equipment Is Properly Installed And Configured.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Data Centers Are Dynamic Environments That Require Quick Thinking And The Ability To Work Under Pressure. A Data Center Technician At Ericsson Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively To Meet Tight Deadlines.
