- Assist therapists in providing high-quality care to patients by setting up equipment, preparing treatment areas, and monitoring patient progress.
- Greet and welcome patients to the facility, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for them.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for patients.
- Collaborate with therapists to create and implement treatment plans for patients, following all protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to therapists.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records accurately.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients, providing emotional support and encouragement during treatment sessions.
- Continuously educate and communicate with patients and their families about treatment procedures and progress.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and colleagues.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new techniques and procedures.
- Act as a positive and professional representative of Encompass Health, displaying the company's mission and values in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth to enhance job performance and contribute to the success of the team.
Relevant Education And Training: A Therapy Technician At Encompass Health Should Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, As Well As Completion Of A Therapy Technician Training Program Or Relevant Coursework In Anatomy, Physiology, And Therapeutic Techniques.
Experience In A Similar Role: Previous Experience Working As A Therapy Technician In A Medical Or Rehabilitation Setting Is Highly Desired. This Includes Experience With Patient Care, Assisting Therapists With Treatment Plans, And Maintaining Equipment And Supplies.
Strong Interpersonal Skills: A Therapy Technician Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Therapists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes Being Patient, Empathetic, And Having The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
Physical Requirements: This Role Requires Physical Stamina And Dexterity As Therapy Technicians May Be Required To Assist Patients With Mobility Exercises, Transfers, And Other Physical Activities. They Should Also Be Able To Lift And Move Equipment And Supplies As Needed.
Attention To Detail: Encompass Health Values Attention To Detail In Their Therapy Technicians To Ensure Accurate Documentation Of Patient Progress And Adherence To Treatment Plans. This Includes Being Detail-Oriented, Organized, And Able To Follow Instructions Carefully.
