- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer speech therapy sessions to patients in accordance with treatment plans and best practices.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education on speech and language disorders and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and physicians, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.

Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology Is Usually Required For A Speech Pathologist Position At Encompass Health. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Diagnose And Treat Communication Disorders.
Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc): A Speech Pathologist Must Have A Ccc From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha). This Certification Ensures That The Individual Has Met Rigorous Academic And Clinical Standards And Is Competent To Practice As A Speech Pathologist.
State Licensure: All Speech Pathologists Must Be Licensed By The State They Practice In. Encompass Health Requires Candidates To Have A Current And Active License To Practice As A Speech Pathologist In The State Where The Job Is Located.
