  1. Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans to address specific communication and swallowing needs.
  3. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve speech and language skills.
  4. Collaborate with other interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  6. Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders, treatment plans, and home exercises.
  7. Utilize specialized equipment and technology to aid in therapy sessions.
  8. Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to track patient progress and determine effectiveness of treatment.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
  10. Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by Encompass Health and relevant governing bodies.
  11. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  12. Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings to contribute to the overall success of the facility.
  13. Collaborate with insurance companies and other third-party payers to obtain authorization for services.
  14. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
  15. Uphold Encompass Health's mission and values in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: A Qualified Speech Pathologist At Encompass Health Should Possess A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited Institution.

  • State Licensure And Certification: Candidates Should Have A Current State License To Practice As A Speech Pathologist And Hold A Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Encompass Health Is A Healthcare Company, So Candidates Should Have Experience Working In A Clinical Or Medical Setting, Preferably With Individuals With Neurological Disorders Or Disabilities.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Speech Pathologist, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Work With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices: Encompass Health Values Evidence-Based Practices, So Candidates Should Have A Strong Knowledge Of Current Research And Practices In The Field Of Speech-Language Pathology.
