Shipping Coordinator

- Oversee and manage the shipping and delivery process of medical supplies to all Encompass Health facilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of orders, shipments, and inventory levels
- Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of supplies
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process
- Continuously monitor and evaluate shipping procedures to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all shipping and transportation regulations and requirements
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and finance, to manage budgets and expenses related to shipping
- Train and supervise shipping staff to ensure they are following proper procedures and meeting performance goals
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, including proper storage and disposal of supplies and materials
- Act as a liaison between Encompass Health and shipping carriers to resolve any delivery or shipping-related concerns.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With A Preference For A Bachelor's Degree In Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Shipping Or Logistics Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Medical Industry.
Strong Knowledge Of Shipping And Freight Regulations, Including International Shipping And Customs Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Coordinate And Track Multiple Shipments Simultaneously.
Proficiency In Computer Systems And Software, Including Microsoft Office And Shipping Software Programs Such As Ups Worldship Or Fedex Ship Manager.
