- Provide high-quality respiratory therapy services to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards of care.
- Assess and evaluate patient's respiratory status and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer and monitor respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, medication administration, and mechanical ventilation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management.
- Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment and supplies, ensuring proper functioning and availability.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in respiratory therapy and incorporate best practices into patient care.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality.
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment by collaborating with team members and providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced therapists.
- Represent Encompass Health in a positive and professional manner to patients, families, and the community.
Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy: Candidates Must Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy From An Accredited Institution.
Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc): Candidates Must Be Certified As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Or Certified Respiratory Therapist (Crt) By The Nbrc.
State Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Valid State License As A Respiratory Therapist And Be In Good Standing With The State Regulatory Board.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: Candidates Must Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist, Preferably In A Hospital Or Acute Care Setting.
Cpr/Bls Certification: Candidates Must Be Certified In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Maintain Certification Throughout Employment.
