- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff.
- Help patients with mobility and transfer tasks, including using assistive devices.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing staff.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, following infection control protocols.
- Provide emotional support and assistance to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation sessions, providing assistance as needed.
- Utilize effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Attend training and educational sessions to maintain and improve job knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
- Safeguard patient privacy and maintain confidentiality of medical information.
- Act as a positive representative of Encompass Health, promoting our mission and values.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing quality care and promoting a patient-centered approach.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the nursing staff or facility management.
Current Cna Certification: Candidates Must Have A Valid And Current Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification From An Accredited Program.
Experience In Rehabilitation Nursing: Previous Experience Working In A Rehabilitation Setting, Specifically With Patients Who Have Physical Disabilities Or Chronic Illnesses, Is Preferred.
Excellent Patient Care Skills: Candidates Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Provide Compassionate Care To Patients With Complex Medical Needs.
Basic Medical Knowledge: A Solid Understanding Of Basic Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment Is Necessary To Assist Nurses In Providing Effective Care To Patients.
Physical Stamina And Flexibility: The Job Of A Rehab Nursing Tech Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Lift, Transfer, And Assist Patients With Mobility Tasks. Candidates Should Also Be Able To Adapt To A Fast-Paced And Ever-Changing Work Environment.
