- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Conduct assessments and provide education on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to nutrition plans.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in nutrition and incorporate into practice.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' nutrition plans and progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to promote understanding and compliance with nutrition plans.
- Provide guidance and support to patients in making sustainable and healthy lifestyle changes.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of job duties.
- Participate in continuous education and training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Advocate for patients' nutrition needs and provide resources for continued care after discharge.
- Collaborate with community resources and organizations to provide nutrition education and support.

Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Registered Dietitian Position At Encompass Health. This Degree Should Be From An Accredited College Or University.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) Certification: Encompass Health Requires All Dietitians To Have Current Rd Or Rdn Certification From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr). This Certification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Educational And Professional Requirements To Become A Qualified Dietitian.
State Licensure: In Addition To Holding National Certification, Encompass Health May Also Require Candidates To Hold A State-Specific License In Order To Practice As A Dietitian. State Licensure Requirements May Vary, So It Is Important For Candidates To Research The Specific Requirements For The State In Which They Are Applying.
Experience In Clinical Nutrition: Encompass Health Is A Leading Provider Of Post-Acute Care, Including Rehabilitation And Long-Term Acute Care. Therefore, Candidates For A Registered Dietitian Position Should Have Experience In Clinical Nutrition, Preferably In A Hospital Or Post-Acute Care Setting. This Experience Should Include Assessing Patients' Nutritional Needs And Creating Individualized Plans To Meet Those Needs.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Registered Dietitian At Encompass Health, The Candidate Will Work With A Multidisciplinary Team To Provide Comprehensive Care To Patients. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals, And Be Able To Work Collaboratively As Part Of A Team.
