- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a positive first impression for all who enter the facility.
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members, taking messages when necessary.
- Schedule patient appointments and handle patient registration, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist patients and visitors with any questions or concerns, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of communication and patient care.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, as well as fax and email correspondence.
- Monitor and order office supplies, ensuring the reception area is always fully stocked.
- Handle any administrative tasks as assigned by leadership, such as data entry and filing.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
- Continuously strive to improve the reception area experience for patients and visitors.

Excellent Communication Skills: A Receptionist (Pool) At Encompass Health Must Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Visitors, And Staff.
Organizational Skills: As A Pool Receptionist At Encompass Health, It Is Important To Have Strong Organizational Skills To Manage Multiple Tasks And Responsibilities, Such As Scheduling Appointments, Maintaining Records, And Managing Incoming Calls.
Customer Service Experience: This Role Requires A High Level Of Customer Service, As The Receptionist (Pool) Will Be The First Point Of Contact For Patients And Visitors. Previous Experience In A Customer-Facing Role Is Preferred.
Computer Proficiency: A Receptionist (Pool) Should Be Comfortable With Using Various Computer Programs And Be Able To Learn New Software Quickly. Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records Systems Is A Plus.
Flexibility And Adaptability: As A Pool Receptionist, The Individual Must Be Able To Adapt To Different Work Environments And Schedules, As They May Be Assigned To Various Locations Within Encompass Health. Flexibility In Work Hours Is Also Important, As Some Shifts May Include Evenings And Weekends.
