
Quality/Risk Coordinator

- Develop and implement quality and risk management protocols and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing quality and risk management programs.
- Identify potential risks and hazards in patient care processes and work with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate and participate in root cause analysis and process improvement activities.
- Communicate identified risks and recommended solutions to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality and risk management activities.
- Train and educate staff on quality and risk management processes and procedures.
- Stay current on industry trends and changes in regulatory requirements related to quality and risk management.
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for staff, patients, and families regarding quality and risk management concerns.
- Coordinate and participate in quality and risk management meetings and committees.
- Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to ensure compliance with quality and risk management standards.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Uphold and promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.
Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance: A Quality/Risk Coordinator At Encompass Health Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance Standards, Such As Hipaa, Osha, And Other State And Federal Guidelines.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Analyze Complex Data, Identify Potential Risks And Quality Issues, And Develop Solutions To Mitigate These Risks And Improve Overall Quality Of Care.
Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Liaison Between Different Departments And Teams, A Quality/Risk Coordinator Must Possess Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Communicate And Coordinate With Various Stakeholders.
Quality Improvement Experience: Candidates Should Have Experience In Quality Improvement Methodologies And Tools, Such As Lean Six Sigma, To Drive Continuous Improvement Efforts And Achieve Quality Goals.
Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills: In Order To Identify Potential Risks And Ensure Compliance With Regulations, A Quality/Risk Coordinator Must Have A Keen Attention To Detail And Strong Organizational Skills To Manage And Track Various Quality And Risk-Related Tasks And Documentation.
