Encompass Health is seeking a highly organized Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.   1. Manage all purchasing activities: The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all procurement processes, including identifying needed goods and services, researching and selecting suppliers, and coordinating the purchase of goods and services.
  2. Negotiate with suppliers: This role will require the ability to negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices and terms for goods and services.
  3. Ensure timely delivery of goods and services: The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all purchased goods and services are delivered on time and in accordance with established timelines and specifications.
  4. Maintain accurate records: This position will require maintaining detailed records of all purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  5. Monitor inventory levels: The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels and placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams: This role will require working closely with other departments within the organization to understand their needs and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  7. Identify cost-saving opportunities: The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities, such as negotiating bulk discounts or sourcing alternative suppliers, to reduce procurement costs.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends: This position requires staying informed about industry trends and changes in the market to make informed decisions about supplier selection and negotiation.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures: The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures related to procurement to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  10. Troubleshoot and resolve issues: This role will require the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the procurement process to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  11. Continuously improve procurement processes: The Purchasing Coordinator will be expected to continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  12. Communicate effectively: This position requires excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with suppliers, internal teams, and other stakeholders

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field

  • 2-3 Years Of Experience In Purchasing Or Procurement, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry

  • Strong Knowledge Of Purchasing Processes, Procedures, And Best Practices

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills

  • Proficiency In Relevant Software And Tools, Such As Microsoft Excel And Sap
