Some possible responsibilities for this job description include:
- Providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Assisting in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Collaborating with the physical therapist and other healthcare team members to develop and modify treatment plans as needed
- Documenting patient progress, including observations, interventions, and outcomes
- Communicating effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care and outcomes
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and adhering to all legal and ethical standards
- Adapting to the changing needs and schedules of patients and the healthcare facility
- Participating in ongoing professional development and education to enhance skills and knowledge in the field
- Upholding the mission and values of Encompass Health and promoting a positive work culture
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to healthcare and physical therapy practice
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment for patients and staff
- Flexibly working PRN (as needed) shifts as required by patient needs and staffing coverage
- Providing excellent customer service and promoting patient satisfaction
- Demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and finding ways to enhance the patient experience and overall quality of care.
Associate's Degree In Physical Therapy Assistant (Pta) From An Accredited Program.
State Licensure Or Eligibility For Licensure As A Pta.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As A Pta, Preferably In A Rehabilitation Or Acute Care Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members.
Availability To Work On An As-Needed Basis, Including Weekends And Evenings, To Meet The Fluctuating Needs Of Patients.
