Pharmacy Technician - PT, 24 hours

1. Assist pharmacists in filling and dispensing medication orders accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Maintain an organized and efficient workflow in the pharmacy to ensure timely delivery of medications to patients.
3. Monitor medication inventory and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the pharmacy manager.
4. Accurately enter patient and medication information into the pharmacy computer system.
5. Prepare and label medications for distribution, including unit dose packaging and IV medications.
6. Follow all safety and infection control protocols when handling and dispensing medications.
7. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients.
8. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
9. Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations.
10. Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated on current pharmacy practices and regulations.
11. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
12. Identify and report any medication errors or adverse reactions to the pharmacist immediately.
13. Keep accurate records of all medications dispensed and assist with medication reconciliation.
14. Assist with maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
