
Pharmacy Technician

- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and safely for patients according to established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhere to proper storage and handling of medications, and comply with all state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate medication orders and to resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Accurately enter and maintain patient and medication information in electronic health records and other pharmacy systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members to provide education and support regarding medication use, potential side effects, and other information as needed.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies to ensure an adequate supply of medications is available at all times.
- Help to identify and report any potential drug interactions, allergies, or other concerns to the pharmacist and healthcare team.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with changing regulations and best practices in the field of pharmacy.
- Demonstrate a high level of compassion, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with patients and their families.
- Act as an advocate for patients and their medication needs, ensuring that they receive the highest quality of care and service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacist or pharmacy manager in support of the overall functioning of the pharmacy department.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Or Equivalent Certification.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Pharmacy Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing And Inventory Management.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Strong Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
