- Assisting pharmacists with filling and labeling prescriptions.
- Communicating with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure proper medication coverage and billing.
- Providing excellent customer service to patients and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Following all state and federal regulations for handling and dispensing medications.
- Restocking medication shelves and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participating in ongoing training and education to stay updated on new medications and procedures.
- Identifying and reporting any medication errors or adverse reactions.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician At Encompass Health Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht): Encompass Health Requires All Pharmacy Technicians To Be Certified By The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates Should Have At Least One Year Of Experience Working In A Pharmacy Or Healthcare Setting, As This Position Requires Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Medication Dosages, And Pharmaceutical Calculations.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Pharmacy Laws: Pharmacy Technicians At Encompass Health Must Be Familiar With State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Pharmacy Practice, Including Hipaa And Controlled Substance Guidelines.
Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills: As A Pharmacy Technician, You Will Be Interacting With Healthcare Professionals, Patients, And Insurance Companies On A Daily Basis. Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential For This Role.
