Pharmacy Technician

1. Prepare and dispense medications accurately and safely under the supervision of a pharmacist.
2. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication therapy for patients.
3. Maintain pharmacy inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
4. Follow all pharmacy procedures and protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
5. Assist in the billing and insurance process for medication orders.
6. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns regarding medications.
7. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
8. Keep accurate and detailed records of all medications dispensed and patient interactions.
9. Continuously update knowledge of medications, dosages, and drug interactions to ensure accurate and safe dispensing.
10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the pharmacy department.
11. Communicate effectively with team members and demonstrate a positive and professional attitude in all interactions.
12. Maintain a valid Pharmacy Technician certification and complete all required continuing education.
13. Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacist or pharmacy manager.
