- Provide hands-on care to patients, including assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and administering medication under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, promoting a culture of compassion and excellence in patient care.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Patient Care Technician At Encompass Health Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: A Patient Care Technician At Encompass Health Must Possess A Valid Cna Certification To Provide Direct Patient Care.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: A Patient Care Technician At Encompass Health Must Have A Current Bls Certification From The American Heart Association Or American Red Cross.
Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates For A Patient Care Technician Role At Encompass Health Should Have Prior Work Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Nursing Home, Hospital, Or Rehabilitation Facility.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Patient Care Technician, It Is Important To Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
