- Assist with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, for patients.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patients' care, progress, and any incidents.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure the highest level of care and satisfaction.
- Assist with transporting patients to appointments, procedures, and other activities as needed.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks and responsibilities.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed and resolved.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Educational Requirement For Most Patient Care Technician Positions, This Demonstrates A Level Of Academic Proficiency And Ability To Learn And Follow Instructions.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Equivalent Certification: This Certification Provides Specialized Training In Patient Care And Is Often Required For Patient Care Technician Roles.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As Part Of Their Duties, Patient Care Technicians May Need To Perform Cpr Or Other Emergency Procedures, Making Bls Certification Essential.
Previous Healthcare Experience: While Not Always Required, Having Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting Can Give Candidates A Competitive Edge And Demonstrate Their Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Patient Care Technicians Work Closely With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Others.
