Job Description

Encompass Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team.   1. Administer occupational therapy services: The OTA will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients in accordance with their treatment plans and under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
  2. Create personalized treatment plans: The OTA will work with the occupational therapist to create individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs and goals.
  3. Implement treatment plans: The OTA will be responsible for implementing the treatment plans, which may include therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities.
  4. Monitor patient progress: The OTA will track and monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  5. Maintain accurate records: Accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment sessions is essential. The OTA will be responsible for maintaining detailed and organized records.
  6. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team: The OTA will work closely with the occupational therapist and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  7. Provide education and support: The OTA will educate and support patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment plans, and home exercises to promote independence and positive outcomes.
  8. Adhere to ethical and legal standards: The OTA will adhere to all ethical and legal standards related to occupational therapy practice, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
  9. Attend team meetings and trainings: The OTA will attend team meetings and participate in trainings to stay updated on best practices and ensure quality care for patients.
  10. Maintain a safe and clean environment: The OTA will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean treatment environment, including proper use and maintenance of equipment and infection control practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Certification From The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).

  • State Licensure Or Registration As An Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
