Occupational Therapist Assistant - PRN

- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Help patients develop and maintain daily living and work skills.
- Assist with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength and coordination.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report findings to the supervising therapist.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the therapy team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.

Relevant Education And Certification: A Qualified Occupational Therapist Assistant (Ota) For A Prn Job At Encompass Health Should Possess A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree From An Accredited Ota Program And Hold A Valid State License Or Certification.
Previous Experience: Encompass Health May Require A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Ota In A Healthcare Setting. This Ensures The Candidate Is Familiar With The Duties And Responsibilities Of The Role And Can Hit The Ground Running.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Prn Ota, The Candidate Will Work With A Variety Of Patients And Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For Effective Collaboration And Providing Quality Care To Patients.
Physical Stamina And Dexterity: Occupational Therapy Can Be Physically Demanding, And The Ota Must Be Able To Assist Patients With Activities Of Daily Living, Including Lifting And Moving Patients, Using Specialized Equipment, And Performing Therapeutic Exercises.
Flexibility And Adaptability: As A Prn Ota, The Candidate Must Be Willing To Work On An As-Needed Basis And Be Available For Various Shifts, Weekends, And Holidays. They Should Also Be Able To Adapt To Different Work Environments And Patient Populations.
