A degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant and current certification is required. 1. Assist licensed occupational therapists in providing comprehensive therapy services to patients of all ages.
2. Implement treatment plans and interventions under the guidance and supervision of a licensed therapist.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
4. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and progress.
5. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
6. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
7. Continuously monitor and report on patient progress and make recommendations for modifications to treatment plans as needed.
8. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in occupational therapy.
9. Provide support and guidance to patients and their families to help them understand and follow through with treatment plans.
10. Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude towards patients, their families, and colleagues.
11. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the delivery of occupational therapy services.
12. Attend regular team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care and outcomes.
13. Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals.
14. Maintain a clean and organized therapy area to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
