- Assist Occupational Therapists in providing therapy services to patients.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to develop treatment plans and goals for patients.
- Implement treatment plans and provide therapeutic interventions under the supervision of Occupational Therapists.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities to promote independence.
- Assist with documentation and record-keeping of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set by the organization and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment for patients.
- Attend team meetings and participate in case conferences to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies while handling patient information.
- Foster a positive and caring atmosphere for patients, families, and team members.
Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Cota) License In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Rehabilitation Or Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Strong Understanding Of Occupational Therapy Principles And Techniques, As Well As Knowledge Of Commonly Used Equipment And Devices.
Ability To Work Collaboratively With An Interdisciplinary Team And Adapt To Changing Patient Needs And Treatment Plans.
