- Conduct assessments to determine patients' current abilities, limitations, and potential for improvement.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to help patients improve their motor, sensory, and cognitive skills.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on techniques and strategies to improve daily functioning and promote independence.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of occupational therapy, and incorporate relevant techniques into treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient treatments and progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative and supportive treatment environment.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Continuously evaluate and improve treatment techniques and programs to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and develop effective treatment plans.
- Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment for patients.
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced occupational therapy staff members.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and a positive attitude towards patients and their families.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited Program.
Current State License To Practice Occupational Therapy.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Rehabilitation Or Acute Care.
Specialized Training Or Certification In Areas Such As Hand Therapy, Neurorehabilitation, Or Pediatric Therapy.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Healthcare Team Members.
