Nutrition Service Aide (Pool)

1. Provide excellent nutrition services to patients in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
2. Follow dietary restrictions and meal plans as prescribed by healthcare team.
3. Assist with meal preparation, serving, and clean up.
4. Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
5. Monitor and record food and beverage intake of patients.
6. Report any concerns or issues related to patient nutrition to the appropriate healthcare team member.
7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team regarding dietary needs and preferences.
8. Maintain accurate and organized records of patient meal selections and dietary requirements.
9. Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
10. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
11. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
13. Demonstrate a compassionate and caring attitude towards patients, families, and coworkers.
14. Continuously strive to improve the quality of nutrition services provided to patients.
15. Follow all facility policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and handling.
16. Keep inventory of food and supplies and notify supervisor when items need to be restocked.
17. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or healthcare team.
