
Nutrition Service Aide (Pool)

- Assist with meal preparation: The Nutrition Service Aide will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of meals for patients, following specific dietary guidelines and ensuring proper nutritional content.

- Assist with inventory management: The Aide will assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and rotating stock to ensure freshness.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff: The Aide will work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery, and may assist with other kitchen tasks as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service: The Aide will interact with patients on a daily basis, and must provide friendly and professional customer service at all times.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Educational Requirement For A Nutrition Service Aide Would Be A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Minimum Level Of Education To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates With Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility, Would Be Preferred For This Role. This Experience Would Provide Them With A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And The Food Service Needs Of Patients.
Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Regulations: A Nutrition Service Aide Must Have Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Regulations To Ensure That Meals Are Prepared And Served In A Safe And Hygienic Manner. This Includes Proper Handling And Storage Of Food, As Well As Maintaining A Clean And Sanitary Work Area.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: A Nutrition Service Aide Must Be Able To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment, As They May Need To Prepare And Serve Meals For A Large Number Of Patients In A Short Period Of Time. This Requires The Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks Effectively.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Nutrition Service Aide, One Will Be Interacting With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Provide Quality Customer Service And Work Effectively As Part Of A Team.
