1. Assist in preparing and serving meals to patients according to prescribed diets and menus.
2. Monitor food and beverage inventory and restock as needed.
3. Ensure that all meals meet established nutrition standards and are presented in an appetizing and visually appealing manner.
4. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
5. Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure proper meal delivery and service to patients.
6. Communicate effectively with patients to accommodate their dietary needs and preferences.
7. Assist in recording and maintaining accurate records of patient dietary restrictions and preferences.
8. Follow all infection control and safety protocols when handling food and serving patients.
9. Assist in the training and supervision of new dietary staff members.
10. Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care and meal service.
11. Work closely with the Nutrition Services Manager to ensure that all dietary operations run smoothly and efficiently.
12. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
13. Continuously seek ways to improve the quality of food and service provided to patients.
14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
15. Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to stay informed about changes in nutrition and dietary services.
