In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring our facilities are staffed with highly qualified and compassionate nurses.   1. Develop and implement staffing schedules for all nursing staff in our facilities.
  2. Monitor and maintain accurate records of staffing levels and adjust schedules as needed to ensure adequate coverage.
  3. Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and address any staffing shortages or concerns.
  4. Utilize staffing software and systems to effectively manage and track staffing assignments.
  5. Recruit, screen, and hire qualified nursing staff to meet facility needs.
  6. Conduct orientations and trainings for new nursing staff members.
  7. Communicate with nursing staff regarding shift changes, assignments, and any updates to schedules.
  8. Monitor and track nursing staff attendance and address any performance issues as needed.
  9. Collaborate with HR and payroll departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of staff schedules and payroll.
  10. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to nursing staffing.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional work environment for nursing staff.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve staffing processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Act as a resource for nursing staff regarding scheduling and staffing inquiries.
  14. Participate in meetings and work closely with other facility departments to ensure smooth operation and delivery of patient care.
  15. Promote and maintain a culture of excellence and patient-centered care within the nursing staff.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Nursing Staffing Coordinator Must Have A Solid Foundation In Healthcare And Nursing Concepts To Effectively Manage And Coordinate Staffing Needs In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Previous Experience In Nursing Staffing Or Scheduling: Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In Scheduling Or Staffing, Is Crucial For A Nursing Staffing Coordinator. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Unique Demands And Challenges Of Coordinating Staffing In A Healthcare Environment.

  • Strong Organizational And Communication Skills: As A Nursing Staffing Coordinator, The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Prioritize Tasks Is Essential. The Candidate Must Be Able To Efficiently Manage A Large Volume Of Information And Effectively Communicate With Both Nursing Staff And Management.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: A Nursing Staffing Coordinator Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Staffing And Scheduling In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Laws Related To Overtime, Breaks, And Rest Periods For Nursing Staff.

  • Ability To Work Under Pressure And In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Healthcare Industry Is Fast-Paced And Constantly Changing, So A Nursing Staffing Coordinator Must Be Able To Work Well Under Pressure And Adapt To Changing Circumstances. This Includes Managing Unexpected Staffing Shortages And Quickly Finding Solutions To Ensure Adequate Coverage.
