
Nursing Staffing Coordinator

- Develop and implement staffing schedules for all nursing staff in our facilities.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of staffing levels and adjust schedules as needed to ensure adequate coverage.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and address any staffing shortages or concerns.
- Utilize staffing software and systems to effectively manage and track staffing assignments.
- Recruit, screen, and hire qualified nursing staff to meet facility needs.
- Conduct orientations and trainings for new nursing staff members.
- Communicate with nursing staff regarding shift changes, assignments, and any updates to schedules.
- Monitor and track nursing staff attendance and address any performance issues as needed.
- Collaborate with HR and payroll departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of staff schedules and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to nursing staffing.
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment for nursing staff.
- Continuously evaluate and improve staffing processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as a resource for nursing staff regarding scheduling and staffing inquiries.
- Participate in meetings and work closely with other facility departments to ensure smooth operation and delivery of patient care.
- Promote and maintain a culture of excellence and patient-centered care within the nursing staff.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Nursing Staffing Coordinator Must Have A Solid Foundation In Healthcare And Nursing Concepts To Effectively Manage And Coordinate Staffing Needs In A Healthcare Setting.
Previous Experience In Nursing Staffing Or Scheduling: Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In Scheduling Or Staffing, Is Crucial For A Nursing Staffing Coordinator. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Unique Demands And Challenges Of Coordinating Staffing In A Healthcare Environment.
Strong Organizational And Communication Skills: As A Nursing Staffing Coordinator, The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Prioritize Tasks Is Essential. The Candidate Must Be Able To Efficiently Manage A Large Volume Of Information And Effectively Communicate With Both Nursing Staff And Management.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: A Nursing Staffing Coordinator Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Staffing And Scheduling In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Laws Related To Overtime, Breaks, And Rest Periods For Nursing Staff.
