- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Assist patients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse.
- Help patients with mobility by transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or assisting with walking.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment by following infection control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Adhere to all healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Attend and participate in training and education programs to maintain knowledge and skills.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of meals and feed patients who require assistance.
- Help with the organization and stocking of medical supplies and equipment.
- Provide comfort and assistance to patients during procedures or treatments.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
- Continuously strive to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Report any patient or equipment issues to the nurse in charge.
- Assist in the admission and discharge processes of patients.

Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) License: This Is A Basic Requirement For All Nursing Assistant Positions At Encompass Health. A Valid Cna License Ensures That The Individual Has Completed The Necessary Training And Is Competent In Providing Basic Care To Patients.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Facility, Such As A Hospital Or Nursing Home, Is Highly Preferred For Nursing Assistant Roles At Encompass Health. This Demonstrates A Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Protocols.
Strong Communication Skills: Communication Is A Vital Aspect Of The Nursing Assistant Role, As They Will Be Responsible For Relaying Important Information Between Patients, Their Families, And The Healthcare Team. Therefore, Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential.
Compassionate And Empathetic Attitude: Nursing Assistants At Encompass Health Must Have A Genuine Desire To Help Others And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients. They Should Also Be Able To Empathize With Patients And Their Families During Difficult Times.
