- Maintain a safe and clean environment: The primary responsibility of a Floor Technician is to ensure that all areas of the facility are kept clean and free from hazards, in order to provide a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Perform cleaning and sanitization tasks: This includes mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and disinfecting various surfaces such as floors, walls, and equipment.
- Follow established protocols and procedures: Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to cleaning, sanitization, and safety protocols.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues: Keep a close eye on the condition of the facility and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Uphold standards of excellence: The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in accordance with Encompass Health's quality of care standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members: The role requires working closely with other members of the housekeeping team to ensure that all areas of the facility are consistently maintained.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Floor Technician Position At Encompass Health. This Demonstrates Basic Education And The Ability To Follow Instructions And Procedures.
Previous Experience In Floor Care: Encompass Health May Prefer Candidates With Previous Experience In Floor Care, Such As Vacuuming, Mopping, And Buffing. This Experience Can Be Gained Through Previous Employment Or Training Programs.
Knowledge Of Cleaning Chemicals And Equipment: Floor Technicians At Encompass Health Must Be Knowledgeable About The Proper Use And Handling Of Cleaning Chemicals And Equipment. This Includes Understanding Safety Precautions And The Ability To Read And Follow Product Labels.
