Environmental Services Aide

- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the facility, including patient rooms, common areas, and offices
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, and vacuuming
- Empty and sanitize trash receptacles on a regular basis
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, handrails, and elevator buttons
- Restock supplies in patient rooms and common areas
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent the spread of infections
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department or supervisor
- Adhere to the facility's cleaning and sanitation standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient cleaning process
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors by maintaining a clean and welcoming environment
- Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on proper cleaning techniques and procedures
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be ordered
- Follow all confidentiality and privacy policies related to patient information and records
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow proper infection control protocols and use personal protective equipment as required
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned by supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Position As An Environmental Services Aide At Encompass Health. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge.
Previous Experience In Housekeeping Or Environmental Services: Prior Experience In Housekeeping Or Environmental Services Is Often Preferred For This Role. This Demonstrates A Candidate's Understanding Of Cleaning Procedures And Familiarity With Medical Facilities.
