Dietitian - PRN
Encompass Health is seeking a passionate and dedicated Dietitian to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our patients' lives by providing expert nutrition guidance and support. - Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients and develop individualized nutrition care plans based on their medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and personal preferences.
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their nutrition care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate and deliver efficient and effective patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on nutrition goals, meal planning, and lifestyle modifications to improve their overall health and well-being.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in medical nutrition therapy to provide evidence-based guidance to patients.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon current nutrition practices to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Maintain professional development and continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of nutrition.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Related Field: A Dietitian - Prn At Encompass Health Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In The Science Of Nutrition And Is Equipped To Provide Evidence-Based Dietary Recommendations.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential: The Candidate Should Be A Registered Dietitian (Rd) Certified By The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr). This Certification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Education And Experience Requirements Set By Cdr And Is Qualified To Provide Nutrition Therapy To Patients.
State Licensure: In Addition To The Rd Credential, The Candidate Should Hold A Valid State License To Practice As A Dietitian. Each State Has Its Own Requirements For Licensure, Which May Include Passing A State-Specific Exam Or Completing Additional Education Or Training.
Previous Experience In A Clinical Setting: Encompass Health Is A Rehabilitation And Post-Acute Care Provider, So Experience Working In A Clinical Setting Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This May Include Experience In Hospitals, Long-Term Care Facilities, Or Other Healthcare Settings.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Dietitian - Prn At Encompass Health Will Work Closely With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Providers To Develop And Implement Nutrition Plans. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Rapport With Patients And Collaborating Effectively With The Interdisciplinary Team.
