Job Description

Are you passionate about helping others and promoting a healthy lifestyle? Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team and provide exceptional care to our patients. In this role, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure our patients receive nutritious and delicious meals that support their recovery.   1. Prepare and serve nutritious and delicious meals to patients according to their dietary needs and restrictions.
  2. Collaborate with the dietary team and other healthcare professionals to create meal plans that support patients' recovery and overall health.
  3. Ensure all meals and snacks are prepared and served in a timely manner, following proper food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
  5. Monitor patients' food intake and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  6. Provide excellent customer service to patients, their families, and staff members.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to understand their dietary preferences and needs.
  8. Keep track of inventory and notify the appropriate person when supplies need to be replenished.
  9. Assist with special events and catering services as needed.
  10. Maintain accurate records of patients' food intake and any dietary changes.
  11. Follow all Encompass Health policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to food service.
  12. Continuously strive to improve the quality of service and care provided to patients.
  13. Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
  14. Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines when handling patient information.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
