As a Well-Being Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive environment for our diverse student body. We are looking for someone with experience in counseling or mental health services, a strong understanding of well-being principles, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of others.   1. Develop and implement programs, activities, and resources that support the well-being and mental health of Emory University students.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and student organizations to create a comprehensive approach to promoting wellness on campus.
  3. Provide individual and group counseling services to students, utilizing a holistic and inclusive approach.
  4. Conduct outreach and educational workshops on various well-being topics, such as stress management, self-care, and healthy relationships.
  5. Serve as a resource for students seeking information and support related to mental health and well-being.
  6. Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and services provided.
  7. Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of well-being and mental health, and incorporate this knowledge into programming and counseling services.
  8. Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, paying particular attention to the needs of underrepresented and marginalized groups.
  9. Collaborate with other university departments, such as health services and academic advising, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to students' well-being.
  10. Serve as a role model for healthy behaviors and self-care practices, both in and out of the workplace.
  11. Communicate regularly with students, faculty, and staff to promote awareness of available resources and services.
  12. Assist with crisis intervention and referrals for students in need of immediate mental health support.
  13. Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance knowledge and skills related to well-being and mental health.
  14. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards related to counseling and mental health services.
  15. Contribute to the overall well-being and positive campus culture at Emory University.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Mental Health And Wellness Principles And Practices.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Students, Faculty, And Staff.

  • Certification In Wellness Coaching, Mindfulness, Or Other Relevant Areas Is A Plus.
