We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager for our Research Projects team.   1. Manage and oversee all research projects within the organization, specifically focusing on river blindness, lymphatic filariasis, and malaria.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to ensure the successful execution of research projects.
  3. Collaborate with renowned experts and stakeholders to ensure the highest quality of research and results.
  4. Coordinate and manage research team members, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  5. Monitor and track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and funders.
  7. Communicate project updates, findings, and results to both internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Conduct regular evaluations of research processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  9. Ensure compliance with all ethical and regulatory guidelines for research.
  10. Support the organization's mission and values by promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  11. Represent the organization at conferences and events, promoting our research and initiatives to a wider audience.
  12. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in the field of global health and human rights.
  13. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including confidentiality and data security protocols.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Project Management: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Research Projects, Preferably In A Global Health Or International Development Context. This Includes Experience In Budget Management, Timeline Tracking, And Stakeholder Communication.

  • Strong Research Background: As A Manager Of Research Projects, The Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Research Methodologies And Be Able To Oversee And Guide The Implementation Of Various Research Projects. A Graduate Degree In A Relevant Field Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Global Health Issues: The Carter Center Focuses On Improving Health Outcomes In Resource-Poor Settings Around The World. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Global Health Challenges And Be Able To Contribute To The Development Of Evidence-Based Interventions.

  • Experience Working In Developing Countries: The Manager Will Be Responsible For Overseeing Research Projects In Various Countries, Many Of Which Are In Developing Regions. Therefore, Experience Working In These Settings And Understanding The Cultural And Logistical Challenges Is Highly Desirable.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With A Diverse Team Of Researchers, Partners, And Stakeholders. The Candidate Should Have Strong Interpersonal Skills And The Ability To Effectively Communicate With People From Different Backgrounds And Cultures. Additionally, The Candidate Should Be Able To Lead And Motivate A Team To Achieve Project Goals.
