Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Special Event/Moving Specialist I (ETS) to join our team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in planning, executing, and coordinating various special events and relocation projects across our campus.   1. Coordinate and plan special events and relocation projects across the Emory University campus.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of events and relocations.
  3. Develop detailed event timelines and project plans.
  4. Manage event budgets and negotiate contracts with vendors.
  5. Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, transportation, catering, and equipment rental.
  6. Communicate event details and updates to all necessary parties.
  7. Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures during event planning and execution.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with event attendees and vendors.
  9. Create and distribute event marketing materials.
  10. Conduct pre and post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events.
  11. Assist in the setup and breakdown of events and relocations.
  12. Maintain accurate event records and documentation.
  13. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices for event planning.
  14. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during events and relocations.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement, A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Demonstrates Basic Knowledge And Skills Necessary For The Job.

  • Physical Fitness And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: As A Special Event/Moving Specialist, The Job May Require Moving And Carrying Heavy Objects, So Physical Fitness And The Ability To Lift Heavy Objects Are Essential Qualifications.
