Welcome to Emory University's School of Nursing! We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Special Assistant/Project Manager for the Southeastern Alliance for Forensic Excellence (SAFE) Network. As the Special Assistant/Project Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting and managing the operations of the SAFE Network, a collaborative effort between Emory University and other institutions to advance forensic nursing education and practice in the Southeastern region. We are looking for a passionate and organized individual with a strong background in project management and a commitment to improving the field of forensic nursing.   1. Coordinate and manage all aspects of the Southeastern Alliance for Forensic Excellence (SAFE) Network, including but not limited to program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for the SAFE Network, responding to inquiries and providing support to member institutions.
  3. Facilitate communication and collaboration between Emory University and other partner institutions within the SAFE Network.
  4. Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring that all project milestones and deliverables are met in a timely manner.
  5. Monitor and track project budget, keeping accurate records and reporting any discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
  6. Plan and organize meetings, conferences, and other events related to the SAFE Network, including scheduling, logistics, and coordination of speakers and attendees.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies to promote the SAFE Network and its initiatives.
  8. Conduct research and analysis on current trends and best practices in forensic nursing education and practice, and provide recommendations for program improvement.
  9. Collaborate with faculty and staff from Emory University and partner institutions to develop and deliver educational materials, trainings, and workshops for the SAFE Network.
  10. Participate in grant writing and fundraising efforts to secure funding for the SAFE Network and its initiatives.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and progress related to the SAFE Network, and prepare regular reports for stakeholders and funders.
  12. Remain current on relevant policies, regulations, and standards related to forensic nursing education and practice, and ensure that the SAFE Network is in compliance.
  13. Represent the SAFE Network at conferences, meetings, and other events to promote the mission and goals of the program.
  14. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the SAFE Network team and with external partners and stakeholders.
  15. Continuously evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the SAFE Network and make recommendations for improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Project Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.

  • Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Forensic Nursing And/Or Healthcare Issues In The Southeastern Region.
