  1. Conduct regular patrols of the campus to identify and address any potential security threats or concerns.
  2. Monitor and respond to security alarms and emergency calls in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of security personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  4. Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff.
  5. Investigate and document any security incidents or violations, and take appropriate action as needed.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and campus stakeholders to identify and address security needs.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, activities, and personnel.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve security operations.
  9. Serve as a point of contact for campus community members regarding security concerns and provide guidance and support as needed.
  10. Conduct risk assessments and make recommendations for improvements to enhance campus safety.
  11. Train and educate security personnel on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and campus policies.
  12. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services during security incidents or emergencies.
  13. Maintain and manage security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
  14. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and university policies related to campus security.
  15. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to provide updates and recommendations on security matters.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Security Operations: A Senior Security Officer At Emory University Must Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Security Operations, Preferably In An Educational Or Institutional Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Role Of A Senior Security Officer Involves Supervising A Team Of Security Personnel, Making Critical Decisions, And Liaising With Various Departments And Agencies.   • Relevant Qualifications And Certifications: A Senior Security Officer At Emory University Should Possess Relevant Qualifications And Certifications Such As A Degree In Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Or A Related Field.
