As a Senior Paralegal, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive legal support to the University and its various departments.   1. Provide comprehensive legal support to various departments within Emory University.
  2. Conduct legal research and analysis to assist attorneys in case preparation.
  3. Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
  4. Maintain and update legal databases and records.
  5. Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents and correspondence.
  6. Coordinate and manage the scheduling of meetings and appointments for attorneys.
  7. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on legal matters.
  8. Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  9. Manage and organize case files, including electronic documents and physical records.
  10. Train and mentor junior paralegals and provide guidance on legal processes and procedures.
  11. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations.
  12. Participate in the development and implementation of legal strategies and initiatives.
  13. Conduct legal audits and assist with risk management.
  14. Stay updated on current laws and regulations relevant to the University's operations.
  15. Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information and legal matters.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Paralegal Studies Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Paralegal, Preferably In A University Or Corporate Legal Department.

  • Knowledge Of Legal Terminology And Procedures, Including Research, Document Preparation, And Case Management.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And Collaborate With Attorneys And Other Team Members.

  • Familiarity With Relevant Laws And Regulations, Including Those Related To Higher Education, Intellectual Property, And Employment.
