
Senior Director, Education Accreditation and Compliance - School of Medicine

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation standards set by governing bodies such as the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Oversee the preparation and submission of accreditation reports and other required documentation.
- Ensure that all educational programs within the School of Medicine are in compliance with accreditation standards and regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all accreditation-related inquiries and site visits.
- Work closely with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the quality of medical education.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in accreditation standards and regulations and communicate any updates to relevant parties.
- Lead and manage a team responsible for maintaining accreditation and compliance across the School of Medicine.
- Collaborate with other departments and committees within the university to ensure alignment and consistency in educational policies and procedures.
- Develop and conduct training programs for faculty and staff on accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the School of Medicine's compliance efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as a resource for faculty and staff on all matters related to accreditation and compliance.
- Represent the School of Medicine in meetings and discussions with external accrediting bodies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in medical education through the promotion of best practices and innovative strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to accreditation and compliance activities.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on the status of accreditation and compliance efforts.
- Uphold the values and mission of Emory University and the School of Medicine through all aspects of the role.
Advanced Degree: A Senior Director Of Education Accreditation And Compliance At The School Of Medicine At Emory University Should Hold An Advanced Degree, Preferably A Doctorate, In A Related Field Such As Education, Healthcare Administration, Or A Medical Specialty.
Extensive Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience Working In Education Accreditation And Compliance, With At Least 5 Years In A Leadership Role. Experience In Medical Education Accreditation And Compliance Is Highly Preferred.
Knowledge Of Accreditation Standards: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Accreditation Standards And Processes, Particularly Those Related To Medical Education. Familiarity With Accrediting Bodies Such As Lcme And Acgme Is Also Essential.
Strong Leadership Skills: This Role Requires A Strong Leader Who Can Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Across The Organization. Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading Education Accreditation And Compliance Initiatives.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Faculty, Staff, And Other External Stakeholders. Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Critical For Building Relationships And Ensuring Compliance With Accreditation Standards.
