1. Assist in daily farm operations, including planting, harvesting, weeding, and general maintenance.
2. Learn and follow organic farming practices and principles to ensure the production of high-quality, sustainable crops.
3. Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute crop rotation, pest and disease management, and irrigation systems.
4. Contribute to the overall success of the farm by actively participating in team meetings, sharing ideas, and providing feedback.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools, equipment, and farm facilities.
6. Educate visitors and community members about organic farming methods and the importance of sustainable agriculture.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
8. Continuously strive to expand your knowledge and skills in organic farming through workshops, conferences, and other educational opportunities.
9. Assist with marketing and selling of farm products, such as at farmers' markets or through a CSA program.
10. Foster a positive and inclusive community by actively engaging with volunteers, interns, and other apprentices.
11. Understand and abide by all farm policies and regulations.
12. Represent the farm in a professional and knowledgeable manner to visitors, customers, and the general public.
13. Embrace and promote sustainable practices both on and off the farm.
14. Perform any other duties assigned by the farm manager or supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the farm.
