Welcome to the Film and Media Department at Emory University's Emory College of Arts and Sciences! We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic individual to join our team as a Program Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to support and contribute to the vibrant and diverse community of students, faculty, and staff within our department. As the Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of various events, initiatives, and programs that enrich our students' academic experience.   1. Plan and organize department events, including film screenings, guest lectures, and workshops.
  2. Coordinate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure successful execution of events.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors for event planning.
  4. Manage event budgets and provide regular updates to department leadership.
  5. Assist with developing and implementing departmental initiatives and programs.
  6. Serve as a point of contact for students, faculty, and staff regarding department events and initiatives.
  7. Facilitate communication and collaboration between various departments and organizations within Emory University.
  8. Maintain accurate records and databases related to events, programs, and partnerships.
  9. Coordinate student participation in film festivals and other external opportunities.
  10. Create and distribute promotional materials for department events and programs.
  11. Monitor and report on the success of events and programs, and make recommendations for improvement.
  12. Provide administrative support to department leadership, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  13. Assist with recruitment efforts and orientation for new students.
  14. Stay informed about current trends and developments in the film and media industry.
  15. Uphold Emory University's values and policies in all job duties and interactions with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Film Studies, Media Production, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Program Coordination Or Event Planning, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Faculty, Staff, And Students.

  • Knowledge Of The Film And Media Industry, As Well As Experience Working With Film Screenings, Guest Speakers, And Other Related Events.
