Welcome to the Office of Technology Transfer at Emory University! We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Operations Director to join our team and lead our operations. As the Operations Director, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of our office and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our team.   1. Manage daily operations of the Office of Technology Transfer, including but not limited to budget, staff, and resources.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the office in alignment with the overall mission of Emory University.
  3. Oversee the office's financial management, including budget planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  4. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including faculty, researchers, industry partners, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and laws related to technology transfer.
  7. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and streamline operations.
  8. Collaborate with other departments and units within the university to promote and support technology transfer activities.
  9. Stay informed about industry trends and developments in technology transfer and make recommendations for adapting the office's strategies accordingly.
  10. Represent the office at internal and external meetings, conferences, and events related to technology transfer.
  11. Evaluate the performance of the office and its staff and make recommendations for improvement.
  12. Serve as a resource and point of contact for inquiries related to technology transfer.
  13. Prepare and present reports and updates on the office's activities and achievements to senior leadership.
  14. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote the office's services and successes.
  15. Uphold and promote the values and mission of the Office of Technology Transfer and Emory University.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Business Administration, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Operations Management, Preferably In A University Or Research Setting.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Strategic Plans And Managing Complex Projects.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of Technology Transfer Processes And Regulations, As Well As Experience With Intellectual Property And Commercialization.
