We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Oncology Data Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in collecting, organizing, and analyzing oncology data to support our research efforts and improve patient outcomes.   1. Collect and organize oncology data from various sources, including electronic medical records, patient surveys, and research studies.
  2. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all collected data.
  3. Utilize data management software and tools to input, clean, and maintain data.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and researchers to identify data needs and develop data collection protocols.
  5. Analyze data and identify trends and patterns to support research projects and improve patient outcomes.
  6. Create and maintain data reports and visualizations for internal and external use.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices in data management.
  8. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all collected data.
  9. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to integrate data into research projects and clinical workflows.
  10. Provide support and training to colleagues on data management processes and tools.
  11. Continuously monitor and improve data quality and integrity.
  12. Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  13. Participate in team meetings, research presentations, and other relevant events.
  14. Contribute to the development and implementation of new data management processes and procedures.
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of the Winship Cancer Institute and Emory University.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Oncology Data Management Or Medical Coding.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Guidelines Related To Oncology Data, Including Hipaa And Icd-10.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Medical Record Systems And Data Entry Processes.

  • Excellent Attention To Detail And Strong Analytical Skills For Data Collection, Validation, And Analysis.
