- Collect and organize oncology data from various sources, including electronic medical records, patient surveys, and research studies.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all collected data.
- Utilize data management software and tools to input, clean, and maintain data.
- Collaborate with physicians and researchers to identify data needs and develop data collection protocols.
- Analyze data and identify trends and patterns to support research projects and improve patient outcomes.
- Create and maintain data reports and visualizations for internal and external use.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices in data management.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all collected data.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to integrate data into research projects and clinical workflows.
- Provide support and training to colleagues on data management processes and tools.
- Continuously monitor and improve data quality and integrity.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings, research presentations, and other relevant events.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new data management processes and procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of the Winship Cancer Institute and Emory University.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Oncology Data Management Or Medical Coding.
Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Guidelines Related To Oncology Data, Including Hipaa And Icd-10.
Familiarity With Electronic Medical Record Systems And Data Entry Processes.
Excellent Attention To Detail And Strong Analytical Skills For Data Collection, Validation, And Analysis.
