
Instrument Technician
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Instrument Technician to join the team at Emory University. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work in a stimulating and fast-paced research environment. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in instrumentation, calibration, and maintenance as well as a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player, with a proven ability to take initiative and make decisions independently.The Instrument Technician will be responsible for ensuring all instruments are in good working order and properly maintained. This includes calibration, quality control, repair, and preventive maintenance. In addition, the Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting malfunctions and providing technical support to personnel.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and experience in instrumentation, calibration, and maintenance. The Technician must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of computer networks, electronics, and electrical systems is also required.
