Job Description

Emory University is searching for a highly motivated and experienced High Performance Computing (HPC) Engineer who thrives in a challenging environment and is passionate about utilizing their expertise to help solve complex problems. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the University’s HPC infrastructure. We are looking for someone who has a strong combination of technical and interpersonal skills, and who is comfortable working in a collaborative environment.The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least four years of experience in HPC systems administration. In addition, they must have a deep understanding of HPC architectures, scripting and programming languages, system performance tuning, and experience with cloud-based solutions. Knowledge of Linux-based clusters and the ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.If you have the technical aptitude and interpersonal skills necessary to help us maintain our HPC systems and provide the best service to our users, we invite you to apply.
