- Educate patients and their families on the potential implications, limitations, and risks of genetic testing and treatment options.
- Work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and geneticists, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in genetic counseling and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Master's Degree In Genetic Counseling From An Accredited Program.
Certification By The American Board Of Genetic Counseling (Abgc) Or The American Board Of Medical Genetics And Genomics (Abmgg).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Or Research Setting Related To Genetic Counseling.
Strong Knowledge Of Genetics And Genetic Testing, As Well As The Ability To Interpret And Communicate Complex Genetic Information To Patients.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Patient Populations, Healthcare Professionals, And Research Teams.
