  1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of facility maintenance and logistics for all campus facilities at Emory University.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize and maintain campus facilities, ensuring they support the academic and research missions of the university.
  3. Manage and lead a team of skilled professionals in the facility maintenance and logistics department, providing guidance, training, and support.
  4. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including university administrators, faculty, and staff, to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services.
  5. Monitor and manage budgets for maintenance and logistics operations, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately and efficiently.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and managing their performance.
  7. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  8. Utilize data and analytics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance and logistics operations, making adjustments and improvements as needed.
  9. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in facility maintenance and logistics, implementing new strategies and technologies to improve operations.
  10. Foster a customer-oriented mindset within the department, ensuring a high level of satisfaction from all stakeholders.
  11. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, providing regular updates and reports on the status of maintenance and logistics operations.
  12. Handle any escalated issues or concerns related to facility maintenance and logistics, working to quickly and effectively resolve them.
  13. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  14. Represent the university in a professional manner, building and maintaining strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Facility Maintenance Operations And Logistics, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Oversee A Team And Multiple Projects.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Facility Maintenance And Logistics, Including Osha And Epa Requirements.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Manage Relationships With Vendors And Contractors.
