Welcome to the School of Law at Emory University! We are currently seeking a highly organized and dynamic individual to join our team as the Events and Faculty Services Manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with faculty, staff, and students to plan and execute a wide range of events and provide essential support for our esteemed faculty. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating memorable and impactful experiences, and has a strong understanding of event coordination and faculty support.   1. Develop and execute event plans and logistics for a variety of events, including conferences, workshops, receptions, and seminars.
  2. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student organizations to identify event needs and objectives, and ensure they are met.
  3. Manage event budgets, negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers, and tracking expenses.
  4. Coordinate event marketing and promotion through various channels, including social media, email, and print materials.
  5. Oversee event registration and guest lists, and communicate event details to attendees.
  6. Coordinate event setup and breakdown, including arranging for catering, audiovisual equipment, and decorations.
  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty requests and inquiries, and provide timely and effective support and solutions.
  8. Manage faculty calendars and schedules, arranging meetings, appointments, and travel as needed.
  9. Maintain faculty confidential files and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  10. Work closely with faculty to provide administrative support, including drafting and proofreading correspondence, preparing documents, and coordinating special projects.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners to ensure high-quality event execution and faculty support.
  12. Stay current on event trends, best practices, and industry standards, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  13. Serve as an ambassador for the School of Law at Emory University, promoting the school's values and mission through events and interactions with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Event Planning And Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Multitask And Meet Deadlines In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Faculty, Staff, And External Vendors.

  • Knowledge Of Legal Industry And/Or Experience Working With Law School Faculty Preferred.
