- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the Emory College of Arts and Sciences to support its mission and goals.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including alumni, parents, and community members, to secure major gifts and donations.
- Collaborate with other members of the development team to plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events.
- Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, including stewardship and cultivation activities.
- Work closely with the Dean of the College and other university leadership to align fundraising efforts with the overall strategic vision of the institution.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with faculty, students, and staff of the College to understand their needs and priorities for fundraising.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify new prospects and inform fundraising strategies.
- Provide leadership and supervision to development staff, including setting goals, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Collaborate with other departments and offices within the university to ensure a coordinated approach to fundraising and donor stewardship.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in higher education fundraising and apply them to the College's development efforts.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for senior leadership and the Board of Trustees on fundraising progress and goals.
- Represent the College and the university at events and meetings with donors, alumni, and other stakeholders.
- Adhere to ethical fundraising practices and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
- Act as an ambassador for Emory University and the College, promoting its mission and impact to potential donors and the community.
- Continuously assess and evaluate the success of fundraising strategies and make adjustments as needed to meet goals and objectives.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Related Field Such As Fundraising, Nonprofit Management, Or Business Administration.
Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Development, Preferably In Higher Education.
Proven Track Record Of Success In Securing Major Gifts And Cultivating Relationships With High-Level Donors.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders Including Alumni, Faculty, Staff, And Community Members.
Knowledge Of Fundraising Best Practices, Trends, And Strategies, As Well As Familiarity With The Philanthropic Landscape In The Atlanta Area And Beyond.
